2024 - ongoing
co-founded with Giacomo Rossi and Filémon Brault-Archambeault
Together with Giacomo Rossi (he/him) and Filémon Brault-Archambeault (they/she), the collective explores queer relationships to space that lead to soft practices of resistance against hetero-patriarchal social norms. Through collective drawing, writing, filmmaking, and space-making, they frame the daily acts of displaced queer bodies as conscious homemaking strategies, acting as catalyzers for a collective production of knowledge around communal living. In this endeavor, softness and queerness are political means to envision alternatives to normative concepts of home.
Their first ongoing collaborative work, ‘a house of differences’, is a multi-channel installation documenting the temporary inhabitation of a vacant villa in Zurich and the transformation of its abandoned institutional rooms into domestic ones. This film documents both reflections on objects of home-making as well as different strategies encountered in conversation with queer communes and individuals displaced across China, Italy, and the diaspora.
Their work was presented at ETH Zurich, Princeton University, and the Penn LGBT Center.
